Team Green Secures First Win of the Season, Upsets Top-Ranked Team Blue

CHL SUPER "C" LEAGUE RECAP:

 In a thrilling match up, Team Green earned their first victory of the season with a 5-4 win over Team Blue, the top team in the standings. The game featured multiple lead changes and dramatic moments, with Team Green overcoming a late deficit to claim the win.

Game Recap:

Team Green came out strong in the first period, taking a 2-0 lead with goals from Will Grimes and Dylan Putnam. Early in the second, Drew Kelly added to the lead, making it 3-0. However, Team Blue, known for their resilience, responded with goals from Gradi Schutt and Ken Hallee, narrowing the gap to 3-2 by the end of the second period.

The third period saw more drama, as Ken Hallee's second goal tied the game 3-3, followed shortly by Tom Caruso's goal to give Team Blue their first lead at 4-3. But Team Green wouldn’t be denied, as Dylan Putnam’s second goal leveled the score once again. With just over four minutes remaining, Grace Brown netted the game-winner, sealing the 5-4 win for Team Green.

  • Dylan Putnam- D (Team Green) led the offensive charge with 2 goals and 1 assist.

With this win, Team Green proved they could compete with the league's top team and will look to build on this momentum as the season progresses. Despite the loss, Team Blue showed their ability to battle back from deficits, and they will look to rebound next week vs Team Grey.
