Letellier Start Defense

Portland, Maine -- Team Letellier opens the Premier League summer season on home ice defending the Championship they won just a few weeks ago.

Darren Casey-Covell opened the scoring early and gave Gongshow a 1-0 lead. Dan Shufelt would knot the game up at one-a-piece with a redirect goal. Corey Gustanski would score a late one for Letellier to take them into the first intermission with a 2-1 lead, Harley Martin stopping 12 of 13 shots he faced.

Gustanski (2) would open the scoring in the middle frame and his second of the game with a top shelf beauty past Macdonald to add an insurance goal for Letellier. The insurance would not last long though as Gongshows' power forward James Neal tapped in a goal to cut the two-goal lead in half.
