League Back in Action Tonight

Portland, Maine -- The Chickadee Hockey League Spring/Summer Season gets underway tonight with a pair of Tier III matchups.

8:30 ET. Pylons vs. Frosted Leafs

The Pylons are back in action after failing to extend their season after the first round of the 2025-2026 playoffs, losing by a landslide to Portland Paper (6-0). Tonight, the Pylons play host to league newcomers, the Frosted Leafs. The Leafs, captained by Brett Messer will look to netminder Ben Roux to hold down the fort against a sound Pylons team.

Pizza Villa (pylons) will look to their defensive core to also contribute offensively.

9:40 ET. Jiffy vs. Space Rangers

Formerly known as the Wharf Rats, the Space Rangers look to begin their season campaign on a high note. Now captained by Evan Lavertu, the Rangers new lineup sparks an enticing outlook. Goaltender Kyle Mcguire is entering the season as a top projected netminder (in all Tiers) and could give the bump the Rangers need to get further into the playoffs after being eliminated in a slaughtering by the hands of Portland Paper (9-0). 

Jiffy will return to action with minimal roster changes and will look to start this season better than the previous (0-4-0) start in the 2025-2026 season with 5 goals for and 20 against.
