Elite League Playoffs Announced

Portland, Maine -- The Chickadee Hockey Elite League Playoff schedule has been released, with Round 1 being played on Friday, July 28th and wrapping up with the Elite League Championship on Sunday night.

Round 1 - Friday, july 28th

7:20 P.M. ET. Penguins vs. Sockeyes

The Penguins finished with the #1 seed in the Elite League, with a record of 9-2-0 and will host the #4 Sockeyes who after winning the first game of the season, were not able to produce another one for the remainder of the season (1-8-1). Though the Penguins won the season series by a landslide, don't count out the depth of players the Sockeyes can conserve energy with.

8:30 P.M. ET. Robert vs. Whalers

Team Robert has turned heads and come into the Playoffs with the highest chance of winning it all after a nearly perfect second half of the season (5-1-0). Following a loss to the Penguins to end the season, Team Robert looks to take that loss as a positive to better their well rested team heading into Friday night. Last week's loss featured just a few of their full time playoff eligible players. Though do not sleep on the Whalers as they have been able to spark a flame and could exit the first round as winners.
