**CHL Grey Wins 4-3 in Overtime Thriller Against CHL Red**

In an exhilarating start to the Winter 24' session, CHL Grey defeated CHL Red 4-3 in overtime on November 16, 2024, at the William B. Troubh Ice Arena. Just one week after the intense Fall 24' Championship, both teams brought high energy and emotion to this fast-paced match-up.

**Strong Start for CHL Grey**  

CHL Grey took control early with two quick goals in the first period—Will Grimes opened the scoring at 9:53, and Bill Reed extended the lead to 2-0 at 3:41. Reed, who was named MVP (as a goalie) of last season’s championship after a 22-save shutout, struck again in the second period at 6:53 to make it 3-0.

**CHL Red's Late Comeback**  

Down but not out, CHL Red fought back in the third period. Jeff Woodworth scored at 10:38 to bring it to 3-1, and Kyle Mackinnon added a power-play goal at 7:16 to make it 3-2. With just 20 seconds left, Sarah Lord tied the game with a clutch goal off a fantastic pass from Michael Sukaloski, forcing overtime.

**Overtime Drama**  

In the extra period, it was Joe Mette who played the hero for CHL Grey, scoring the game-winner at 4:42 with an assist from James Demuro, giving Grey a hard-fought 4-3 victory.
